TIPS FOR BUYERS + SELLERS

Although we have noticed a slow down over the last couple of weeks, our team continues to work with buyers and are getting offers. People are still in the market and sales are happening. Physical searches may have declined at the moment, but as more people get use to the new routine at home and/or begin to rethink the functionality of their home, digital searches will begin to climb and buyers will again start making contact.

Here are some tips for buyers and sellers to following

Because all open houses have been suspended at this time, we encourage everyone to utilize as many online sources, including photos, virtual tours and video open houses before scheduling a private showing.

Also, it’s important that both buyers and sellers understand that if they are under quarantine, feeling unwell or face a higher risk of contraction OR live with someone who is under quarantine, feeling unwell or faces a higher risk of contraction, then please disclose this in advance and do not participate in a showing.

  1. Remove your shoes and sanitize your hands before entering a home
  2. Wear a non medical mask and/or gloves
  3. Refrain from touching any surfaces, doorknobs, cabinet pulls, light switches etc
  4. Remove your mask and/or gloves, and sanitize your hands immediately after you’ve left the showing

Tips For Sellers

  1. Rely on your agent to be present during a showing in order to better manage the risk of spread in your home
  2. Exit the home in advance to a showing
  3. If you are a landlord, you may request and receive permission to entry the rental unit 24 hours in advance
  4. Consider disinfecting all surfaces, doorknobs, cabinet pulls, light switches, etc before and after the showing
